RN/BSN Track

Baccalaureate nursing graduates provide theory-based nursing care to healthy and ill individuals, families, aggregates and communities in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, schools and outpatient facilities.  Graduates are prepared for advanced study at the master’s degree level.

The consortium of The University of Toledo (UT) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU) provides an innovative and unique baccalaureate nursing program.  This is an opportunity to experience the excitement of college life coupled with the challenge of a stimulating health science center and clinical settings.  Students choose the university (UT or BGSU) that best meets their needs.  Students take general education, liberal arts and science courses at those universities and then attend The University of Toledo Health Science Campus online as senior students.  The Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is awarded by the respective university.

By taking advantage of the outstanding advising services and academic and clinical learning opportunities available, graduates benefit from increased professional autonomy and career mobility, new levels of competence and confidence and thorough preparation to meet the demands of an ever-changing healthcare system.

The Undergraduate Nursing Program has two tracks leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  The Basic track is for students entering the nursing profession.  The RN/BSN track is for students who are associate degree or diploma graduates and who are already licensed as Registered Nurses.
