Basic BSN Track
Admission Requirements

1. Completion of university and nursing prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or above:

  • English composition I and II
  • Math
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Microbiology
  • Psychology
  • Nutrition
  • Computer
  • Ethics
  • Statistics
  • Lifespan Psychology
  • Medical Terminology
  • Social Sciences
  • Humanities
  • Diversity Courses

2. Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5; admission is competitive.

3. Pre-nursing incoming freshmen who apply by January 1 to BGSU or UT may qualify for Early Admission status if: ACT composite 27+ or SAT overall 1200+; and high school G.P.A. 3.5+ on a 4.0 scale. Standardized test scores through December will be accepted. Early admission application is available at:
http://hsc.utoledo.edu/nursing/pdfs/APPLICATION_EA.pdf. March 1 deadline.
Admission is competitive.

4. Students are required to authorize The University of Toledo to obtain criminal record checks and are responsible for fingerprinting expenses. Students must declare and document misdemeanor and/or felony offenses that occur prior to admission to the nursing major and/or during program progression. Convictions may result in denial of admission to the major or dismissal after matriculation.
