Secondary Application Process

After the preliminary screening of AMCAS applications,
the Admissions Committee may request more information
from students for further evaluation. Along with a set
of forms, an application fee and letters of recommendations
are required of the students. The secondary application
process does not proceed until all the items are received.

If you are a student that has been directed to the Web
site after preliminary screening, please print, complete
and return the above forms to the Admissions Office along
with a non-refundable $80 application fee and a recent
2x2 photograph. Check and/or money orders should be made
payable to "Medical University of Ohio." AMCAS
fee waivers will be honored.
Letters of recommendation, which must be on official university
or college letterhead, should be from a Premedical Advisory
Committee at the college or university from which you
will graduate or have recently graduated. If no such committee
exists, from three (3) faculty members
with whom you have studied in a science department is
recommended.
If you are not a recent college graduate, we will need
in addition to the above, a letter of recommendation from
someone who is familiar with your most recent activities
since you left college. Additional letters of recommendation
are accepted.

Students will receive and email notification when their
secondary application is complete. The Committee will
again review your application for an interview decision.
Interviews are by invitation only and generally continue
from October through March. If the interview is approved,
you will receive an invitation to meet with members of
our faculty. ALL APPLICATION MATERIAL MUST BE
RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 1, 2006.
