Technical Requirements

In order to participate in an online continuing education offering, you must have reliable Internet access. The minimum system requirements are listed below.

For PC
Windows 98 or better
233 MHz Pentium II or better
128 MB RAM
56 Kbps Modem or better*
Sound card and speakers
For MAC
MacOS 9.2 or better
G3 233 PowerPC or better
128 MB RAM
56 Kbps Modem or better*
Speakers (internal or external)

The following software must be installed and working properly in order to participate in an online offering. You can download available freeware from the links provided below. Some of the vendors do not always make the download link to the FREE version very noticeable on their web sites. Carefully read the web page to gain access to the FREE download version.

Select each Required link to verify if that particular software has been installed and is in working order. If a test does not pass, click on the download link to download an installer, then proceed with the installation process. Once you have installed the software, perform the tests again to verify a successful installation.

    *A broadband connection such as Cable Modem, DSL, or LAN is recommended for reliable delivery of content to your computer. Users should be aware that a 56K modem dial-up connection can only deliver a limited amount of content to your computer, therefore you may notice that video content may stop and start at times throughout a presentation.
