Positions Available - College of Nursing

DNP Nurse Faculty

The College of Nursing at The University of Toledo is seeking qualified faculty to teach in the first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program in a public university in the State of Ohio. We seek highly qualified doctoral-prepared individuals to join our dynamic faculty in the tenure or clinical tracks in The College of Nursing on the Health Science Campus. We are seeking several faculty experienced in Advanced Practice and/or Nursing Administration. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications include:

  1. Earned doctorate in nursing or related field.
  2. National certification as a nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist or nursing administration eligibility as appropriate to position.
  3. Teaching experience in higher education desirable.
  4. Ohio Registered Nurse license or eligibility.

The University of Toledo is the third largest State University in Ohio.  UT’s main campus, located along the banks on the Ottawa River is in a residential section of the city includes historic buildings, modern facilities, contemporary residence halls and abundant green space.  The University of Toledo Health Science Campus is home to UT Medical Center hospitals and clinics and UT’s health-science research and education programs including nurses, physicians and other health care professionals.

The College of Nursing offers graduate degree majors (MSN) FNP, ANP, PNP, Adult & Psych CNS, and Nursing Education and undergraduate BSN, RN-BSN, and AD programs.  A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program will commence in 2008.  Our graduates have excellent reputations as nurse professionals both locally and nationally.

The CON offers graduate, baccalaureate, and associate degree nursing programs and is planning a DNP program.
