Nursing Learning Resource Center and Advanced Simulation Center

Welcome to the University of Toledo Nursing Learning Resource Center and Advanced Simulation Center!  The combined Centers, located on the Health Science Campus in the lower level of the Collier Building are multidiscipline and multifunctional teaching and learning laboratories that provide students with opportunities for self directed and facilitated learning utilizing the latest in educational technology.  Our purpose is to assist students in the development of their cognitive, psychomotor, and critical thinking skills essential to best practices in nursing by providing essential resources that support the instructional and clinical components of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum.  Our goal is to create a learning environment designed to simulate the clinical nursing environment in a supportive and non-threatening atmosphere.

The main skills laboratory is equipped with 10 beds and life-size manikins, a variety of skill models, equipment, and an automated medication management system.  Students have access to a variety of media, instructional software, and textbook resources.  The heath assessment lab is equipped with 8 examination tables and physical assessment equipment necessary for our practicing nurse student population acquiring the advanced skills of nursing practice.
