CINAHL (Nursing & Allied Health) indexes the
literature of nursing and allied health from 1982
to the present. Articles from more than 1000 journals
are covered, as well as books, pamphlets, dissertations,
audiovisuals, research instruments, evidence-based care sheets, and software.

Pre-CINAHL is a database that includes citations that will eventually be indexed and
added to CINAHL, but haven't yet. Once a citation has been indexed and included in CINAHL,
it is deleted from Pre-CINAHL. Searching Pre-CINAHL can be a little sloppy because there
are no subject headings; consider searching with a variety of synonyms.
