Obstetrics/Gynecology Club
Hello and thank you for your interest in the Ob/Gyn Club!
Obstetrics and gynecology is a diverse, challenging, and rewarding specialty. It combines medical and surgical skills to address aspects of women's health during the entire reproductive life cycle.
As an OB/Gyn student interest club, we will work to:
- Gain an understanding of what is involved in a career in Ob/Gyn
- Learn concepts in women's health issues related to wellness and health maintenance/disease prevention
- Promote clinical skills in women's health
- Raise awareness of gender differences in health issues
- Strengthen interdisciplinary efforts related to women's health projects
- Increase women's health advocacy within the medical school and the community
- Promote student participation in the development of the club
- Offer ACOG and APGO as resources to medical students interested in Ob/Gyn and careers in women's healthcare
