Every class is represented on the Medical Student Council by seven representatives. In addition, students elect peers to serve as liaisons to various committees, such as Financial Aid, Curriculum, Graduate Student Council and several others. Class representatives primarily serve as advocates for the student body to the administration. These students attend monthly meetings and are responsible for planning and executing social events, educational programs, and addressing student concerns.
Elections are held in the fall of year 1 to select First-year class representatives for one year. Elections for the Second-year class representatives are held in the spring of the same academic year. The Executive Board is elected among the seven elected Second-year class representatives. Liaisons remain in the elected positions for the remaining three years of school.
