The M*O*O*S*E* Club, recognized in May of 1995, was organized to offer medical students the opportunity to pursue involvement in outdoor activities, armed with the knowledge of extreme situational preparedness. They plan activities around a three-part focus:
- A lecture series to enhance medical student education concerning outdoor situational medicine
- Using the medical training within the community to promote safety and provide basic first aid training for outdoor situations
- To promote fellowship among club members with adventure activities
The M*O*O*S*E Club received a grant from the Wilderness Society and purchased outdoor equipment that is available for students to sign out though the Morse Center.
