GSA - Gay/Straight Alliance
UT’s Gay/Straight Alliance seeks to illuminate the presence of Gays and Lesbians on campus. Working with other student organizations and the Office of Student Life, we are interested in events and speakers, working on institutional inclusiveness, and talking about issues faced by Gay and Lesbian physicians and students as well as the experience of LGBT patients in the health care system. We are interested in networking with the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, the American Medical Student Association and local community groups, participating in a nationwide professional and social network for students and physicians of all orientations. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend meetings. The club is currently inactive but may be reinstated with student interest.
