Christian Medical Fellowship
The Christian Medical Fellowship is a student chapter of the national Christian Medical and Dental Association on UT Health Science Campus. We aim to provide spiritual support to the UT HSC student community through weekly lunchtime gatherings for Bible study, prayer, and praise. This year, we will also be organizing monthly events to promote fellowship and friendship among CMF members and to allow us to better encourage one another.
As a student chapter of a national organization, there are opportunities to attend national and regional conferences such as the Global Missions Health Conference. In 2006, we sent 17 UT Medical, Graduate, and Occupational Therapy students to Louisville for the conference! We look forward to returning this year, to learn more about how we may use our unique gifts to serve our community as students and as future health care professionals! Additionally, CMF offers opportunities to volunteer at a local Christian health clinic and to participate in missions activities. In 2005, a group of CMF students traveled to New Orleans to aid the hurricane relief efforts, and we are currently searching for a similar mission activity for this year!
Medical and Graduate training can be both mentally and physically exhausting, and the CMF family is ready to help you stay grounded and strong in Christian faith and fellowship. We look forward to meeting you! Contact any of the leadership group for more information!
