A Message from Dr. Griffith:

As the Interim Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, I welcome you to our website.  We are extremely proud of our residency program and look with excitement to the future of our program and our residents.

As faculty, we take very seriously our responsibility for resident training.  The mission of our residency program is to help each individual resident develop a foundation that will help them achieve their personal career goals and enjoy a rewarding career in pediatrics.

Our university, affiliated institution, and community-based physicians are committed to resident education.  Our faculty and residents work closely together in a collegial and friendly environment that is especially conducive to learning.  Our residents graduate well prepared as clinicians ready to pursue practice, fellowship, or academic opportunities.

I hope that you will consider applying to our program.  I would like the opportunity to introduce you to the faculty and our outstanding house staff, as well as to the Toledo area and what it has to offer.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and I look forward to seeing you in Toledo.

Sincerely,

Joan R. Griffith, M.D., M.H.A., M.P.H.
