Welcome to the Office of Institutional Diversity's Web page. Our vision is for the University of Toledo to be a recognized leader among academic health science centers for integrating diversity into our student body, healthcare education, staffing, research and service. Our mission is to be an integral mechanism in the development of a culturally inclusive work and academic environment that values and respects diversity.
We learn in some sense through distinction, contrast and difference. We learn from new ideas and new experiences. We learn from others who are different from ourselves as well as from text books. Consequently, the Office of Institutional Diversity serves the long-term national interests as the age demands a well educated and resourceful citizenry of all the people.
