PROTEOMICS CORE LABORATORY GRANTS AND CONTRACTS


Extramural Support of BPG Program

1. Mercy Healthcare 
     Bioinformatics was established on 4/1/01 with a $2M endowment from Mercy Healthcare.

2. Stranahan Foundation
     $300,000 challenge grant awarded in 2003 for key infrastructure (establishment of
    core labs, and of distance learning IP teleconferencing facility in Health Education
    Building, Room 105). This challenge grant was matched by the MUO Foundation.

3. Stranahan Foundation
    $100,000 challenge grant awarded in 2004 to establish bioinformatics computer lab
    and acquire Linux computer cluster, and to develop curriculum. This challenge grant
    was matched by the MUO Foundation.

4. "Choose Ohio First" Funding Award
    
The COF-Bioinformatics Scholarship Program was awarded to the BPG Program
    in March 2008, and will provide eight, two-year tuition scholarships per year, beginning
    in the Fall of 2008.  Students must be a resident of the State of Ohio to apply.
