Core Laboratories Introduction
Welcome to the Web site of the University of Toledo Health Science Campus Genomics and Proteomics Core Laboratories (GCL and PCL). Created in 2002 as part of the program in Bioinformatics and Proteomics/Genomics, the GCL and PCL are committed to fostering the implementation of cutting-edge technology in biomedical research and education.
The GCL and PCL provide investigators both on and off campus with access to modern tools in genomics and proteomics for their research. The GCL can provide microarray analysis on either commercial arrays (Affymetrix) or on custom arrays created on a PerkinElmerâ„¢ platform. The PCL can provide protein identification and sequencing utilizing state of the art mass spectrometers.
We welcome all inquiries from scientists, clinicians, and students, as well as inquisitive guests. We hope that we can help you find the knowledge and tools that you require with fast courteous service.
